Microgiving

Microgiving.com is a cool website where donors and recipients join for free. They really encourage charitable giving, which is really cool. They don't care who you give to or how much you give, they just want you to give, and they provide a site to make that happen.
Members of microgiving either are a recipient or a donor, or you can be both a recipient and a donor. Donors can fullfill a need for a family of their choosing. Recipients post their story and hope for a donation. More than anything it's just fun! You can make a real difference in someone elses life. Every donation counts.
Members also help each other with support and friendship as well as and to help raise donations and reach their goal. I'm lucky to call myself a member. I joined to try to help me raise donations for my wheelchair-accessible house fund-Penelope's House Fund. I've met some great people who reallly care about others.
I posted my porphyria story on my microgiving journal, I posted in the forum and commented on the microgiving blog. I was just hopeful my hard work would pay off. My donations were at a stand still. Now because of Microgiving I got my first donation here on my blog. Check out my microgiving profile to see who has donated to my cause, and just check out the microgiving website.
